This worked with 64-bit Windows - YEESSS!!!! I followed the instructions in the link above for the scanner driver and installed the IR Scangear toolbox from the 32-bit CD files (which were referred to in earlier messages in this thread). I should mention that this is some volunteer stuff I'm doing - I'm not wasting work time/employer money on this.
